  • What We Do

    At Brooklyn Collective Studio School we seek to provide an affordable, flexible, multi-use space for our community. Devoted to preserving the art of handcraft while supporting local artists, our Studio School offers workshops, classes, pop-up shops, and events as eclectic and creative as the community we serve.
  • The Studio School is a 400 square foot work studio space within the Brooklyn Collective. The studio can accommodate up to 12 students with individual work stations.   • Workshop #1: Heirloom Advent Calendar Making

    Tuesday November 28th from 6 – 8:30PM, $80 ** Hosted by our resident elves Sue & Tessa ** A tradition born in Germany in the 1800s, the Advent has become a favorite amongst children around the world. With a savory little daily treat the Advent brings excitement & anticipation leading up to Christmas day. ** This workshop includes a beautiful kit to create your own Holiday Gnome Advent Calendar along side your hosts who will guide you through the steps! After crafting, chatting, sipping wine & other festive beverages, you will take home your heirloom Advent to pass down for generations to come! **We have 12 spots available **Registration is available in-store & by email to
  • Workshop #2: Bookmaking Workshop 

    Tuesday, December 5th from 6-8:30PM, $100 ** Hosted by resident artist Lauren Simkin Berke ** This workshop will explore the basics of sewn and case bound bookmaking. Participants will learn about book parts, and related tools and processes. Each participant will make their own miniature 24-page hardcover book, learning how to sew bookblocks together, make cloth covered hard covers, and slipcases.   • Workshop #3: Childrens Ornament & Card Making

    Hosted by our resident artists Sue Kwon & Tessa Williams ** Your children will be crafting with an assortment of materials including pompoms, glitter canvas, felt & jingle bells to name a few! ** Sundays December 3rd, 10th & 17th ** Card Making suitable for ages 3 & up from 11-12, $20 ** Ornament Making suitable for ages 6 & up from 2 - 4, $40 **Registration is available in-store & by email to
